  • Cheat Engine

Cheat Engine is a free program that scans and can edit the values of certain memory addresses to hopefully give you an advantage, such as increasing health or money or score.

    • Charles

Charles is a web proxy (HTTP Proxy / HTTP Monitor) that runs on your own computer. Your web browser (or any other Internet application) is then configured to access the Internet through Charles, and Charles is then able to record and display for you all of the data that is sent and received.

In Web and Internet development you are unable to see what is being sent and received between your web browser / client and the server. Without this visibility it is difficult and time-consuming to determine exactly where the fault is. Charles makes it easy to see what is happening, so you can quickly diagnose and fix problems.

    Current Version 3.6.5

    • Fiddler
Fiddler is a Web Debugging Proxy which logs all HTTP(S) traffic between your computer and the Internet. Fiddler allows you to inspect traffic, set breakpoints, and "fiddle" with incoming or outgoing data. Fiddler includes a powerful event-based scripting subsystem, and can be extended using any .NET language.
Fiddler is freeware and can debug traffic from virtually any application that supports a proxy, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and thousands more. You can also debug traffic from popular devices like Windows Phone, iPod/iPad, and others.

    • WinMD5

WinMD5Free is a tiny and fast utility to compute MD5 hash value for files. It works with Microsoft Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and Windows 7.
As an Internet standard (RFC 1321), MD5 has been used in a wide variety of security applications, and is also commonly used to check the integrity of file, and verify download. WinMD5 is a small and easy tool to calculate md5 hash or checksum for different files (including files larger than 4 GB).

    • Flasm
Flasm disassembles your entire SWF including all the timelines and events. Looking at disassembly, you learn how the Flash compiler works, which improves your ActionScript skills. You can also do some optimizations on the disassembled code by hand or adjust the code as you wish. Flasm then applies your changes to the original SWF, replacing original actions.

It's also possible to embed Flasm actions in your ActionScript, making optimizing of large projects more comfortable.

Flasm is not a decompiler. What you get is the human readable representation of SWF bytecodes, not ActionScript source. If you're looking for a decompiler, Flare may suit your needs. However, Flare can't alter the SWF.

    • WebScarab
WebScarab is a framework for analysing applications that communicate using the HTTP and HTTPS protocols. It is written in Java, and is thus portable to many platforms. WebScarab has several modes of operation, implemented by a number of plugins. In its most common usage, WebScarab operates as an intercepting proxy, allowing the operator to review and modify requests created by the browser before they are sent to the server, and to review and modify responses returned from the server before they are received by the browser. WebScarab is able to intercept both HTTP and HTTPS communication. The operator can also review the conversations (requests and responses) that have passed through WebScarab.

    • WebScarab NG

WebScarab-NG is a complete rewrite of the old WebScarab application, with a special focus on making the application more user-friendly. To this end, WebScarab-NG makes use of the Spring Rich Client Platform to provide the user interface features. By using the Spring Rich Client Platform, WebScarab-NG automatically gains things like default buttons, keyboard shortcuts, support for internationalisation, etc. Another new feature is that session information is now written into a database, rather than into hundreds or thousands of individual files. This makes disk space utilisation and things like archiving of sessions a lot easier.
Ultimately, WebScarab-NG will have all the significant functionality that the old WebScarab had, although it will be reorganised quite significantly, in order to make the application more user friendly.

    • Edit Rocket

Ultimately, WebScarab-NG will have all the significant functionality that the old WebScarab had, although it will be reorganised quite significantly, in order to make the application more user friendly.

The EditRocket download is a full trial version that includes all features.

The download expires 30 days after the first use. After the expiration, a registration code / serial number
must be purchased to continue using EditRocket.

EditRocket provides the tools and features necessary to allow programmers to edit, create, debug, and navigate source code quickly and easily.

    • Notepad++

Notepad++ is a free (as in "free speech" and also as in "free beer") source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL License.

Based on the powerful editing component Scintilla, Notepad++ is written in C++ and uses pure Win32 API and STL which ensures a higher execution speed and smaller program size. By optimizing as many routines as possible without losing user friendliness, Notepad++ is trying to reduce the world carbon dioxide emissions. When using less CPU power, the PC can throttle down and reduce power consumption, resulting in a greener environment.
